Hoghton Tower, a Grade I listed building, is the ancestral home of the de Hoghton family. The de Hoghtons are descended directly from Harvey de Walter, one of the companions of William the Conqueror, and through the female line from Lady Godiva of Coventry, wife of Leofric, Earl of Mercia. Re-created in 1565 by Thomas Hoghton, this ancient, fortified, hilltop manor house occupies a commanding position, 650ft above sea level. The Tower lies mid-way between Preston and Blackburn, with magnificent views of Lancashire, the Lake District and North Wales. Hoghton Tower is the only true baronial hall in Lancashire.
You will be sent further information and car pass about a week before the event so please ensure all your details are correct.
Our goal is to put on a fabulous display of these cars and we would like as many to be present as possible. We have a special area set aside for the display adjacent to the main concours competitors and several cars are already confirmed. For more information, please call Rob Smith on +44 (0)7770 982821.
The Celebration Display is run by the AMHT, for more information about the concours event in general please see AM News or visit the AMOC website (www.amoc.org)
